The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster recommends the Parliament to adopt the Bill on Amendments to the Land and Forestry Codes of Ukraine regarding Protection of Forests

The primary goal of the bill (Reg. No. 8489) is to regulate the relations with originate due to the management of forest resources by the executive authorities and local self-government bodies.

The bill amends clauses 122 and 149 of the Land Code of Ukraine, and Clauses 27, 31 and 32 of the Forestry Code of Ukraine. People´s Deputies believe that adoption of the bill will support preservation of forests, and restrict expropriation of forested land plots.
